Do Pulicaro have bedrooms or apartments?
Both, each lodging can be rented by 2-7 people.
Every room or apartment is tastefully furnished, with independent entrance and private bathroom. All of the apartments have kitchens.
The farmhouse collectively accommodate up to 25 people.

Can I bring my pet with me at Pulicaro?
Dogs and other animals may be welcome, but must be arranged for in advance.

When can I reach Pulicaro /when do I have to leave my lodging?
Check-in: From 5.00 to 7.00 pm
Check-out: Until 10.30 am
For weekend guests, alternative check-in and check-out times may arranged.

What kind of “agriturismo” is Pulicaro?
Pulicaro is just a typical agriturismo : here you will find a family and a farm with an ancient stone-building, lovely restored, to spend pleasant time.

Can we find a swimming-pool there?
Not yet, but during the summer our guests can reach in 5 minutes a sporting club with a swimming pool (it’s included in the price).

What does “Pulicaro” mean?
The word pulicaro probably means a kind of peppermint (pulicara) or it might refer to the presence of the sulfuric thermal waters (bulicame-bulicaio-pulicaio) that flow beneath the land.
We were not born or grown up here, so we didn’t mean to give the Agriturismo a different name from the farmhouse: everyone here knows it as Pulicaro, it’s an ancient name and there are references to Pulicaro in 18th Century maps. We didn’t want to give the farmhouse a different name: his history is so fascinating!

Do lodging have air-conditioning?
No, you don’t need air conditioning. The farmhouse is situated on a plain at 550 meters above level sea, so that the weather is generally dry and windy: it’s not so hot (especially at night) to need to turn on air-conditioning.

Do the farmhouse have a fireplace?
Yes, at the first floor you’ll be welcome by a big dining-room with a beautiful fireplace. Here you can spend pleasant moment relaxing.

Do you also have a restaurant?
We do not have a real restaurant open every day or for everyone : we cook just for our guests (booking).

Is it so hot during the summer / is it so cold during the winter?
The weather is generally dry and windy.
During the summer, at day it should also be quite warm, but at night you should wear something on your shoulders and often you should sleep with a light blanket.
During the winter it can snow for a couple of week, but weather is not so freezing (only at night).

How much is a holyday at Pulicaro?
From 25 € up to 45 € a person at night.
It depends on the season you choose, numbers of nights and kind of lodging you mean to book.

All year long, Pulicaro’s guests are entitled to special discounts at Fonteverde SPA Resort in San Casciano dei Bagni (SI) : 15 % at the thermal swimming-pool, 10 % on day spa circuits.
